Righteousness: the result of justification by faith.

Righteousness comes through justification by faith. This new status empowers us to do righteous works naturally. We work righteousness because of who we become in Christ, and we live righteous lives through his power and grace bestowed on us. Any attempt to earn righteousness leads us to legalism and no human by nature is able to meet God's standard of righteousness. To please God and live a stress-free life without condemnation requires us to know what the Bible says about righteousness.

"But now a righteousness of God has been revealed apart from Law...  even the righteousness of God through the justification by faith of Jesus Christ toward all and upon all those believing;..." Rom 3:21-22
